At the December 20 meeting of the SacMoves Coalition, no one stepped up to serve on the Process Committee to review issues and develop agendas for the coalition meetings. The coalition will continue to meet on a bi-monthly basis (February 21, 2025; April 18, 2025; etc.), but the agenda will not be developed ahead of time, and the meeting will be for information sharing/updates and notice of important issues. The meetings will not address possible SacMoves actions or letters.

Several coalition participants spoke of the value of information sharing/updates, so it was decided to continue this function.

When a transportation funding measure surfaces, perhaps in six months, the coalition will activate at a higher level to analyze and perhaps support that measure. The active transportation/transit/housing idea developed by Sacramento Metro Advocates for Rail and Transit (SMART) and ex-Mayor Darrell Steinberg is on hold pending the outcome of possible measures by Sacramento Transportation Authority (SacTA) or Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT).

This blog/website will continue to exist, and there may even be a few posts on transportation issues. The SacMoves Coalition email (sacmoves.coalition@gmail.com) will continue but not be monitored as frequently.
