There are a number of agencies that fund, plan, build, and/or operate transportation in the Sacramento region. SacMoves works with, and when necessary, against, these public agencies to achieve our goals.

Transportation Agencies

• Sacramento Transportation Authority – administers Measure A transportation sales tax for Sacramento county
• SACOG (Sacramento Area Council of Governments) – plans transportation through MTP/SCS and distributes funding for Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, El Dorado, and Yuba/Sutter counties
• SacRT (Sacramento Regional Transit District) – operates bus and light rail, in most of Sacramento county
• SacDOT (Sacramento County Department of Transportation) – plans, builds and operates transportation in the county
• YoloTD (Yolo County Transportation District) – plans, builds and operates transportation in the county, and operates Yolobus transit
• PCTPA (Placer County Transportation Planning Agency) – plans and builds transportation in the county
• EDCTC (El Dorado County Transportation Commission) – plans and builds transportation in the county
